As of 1 July 2023, Spain will take over the Presidency of the Council from Sweden. The Spanish Presidency will run until 31 December 2023.

Please note that due to the general elections scheduled on 23 July, the composition of the government and the parliament is likely going to change according to the polls. It remains to be seen how this will impact the EU Spanish Presidency.
