EU Public Affairs Intern (6 Months)
Introduction
Ridens is an EU public affairs and business consultancy practice which takes pride in providing personalised, high-level counsel. Our consultants have extensive experience in a wide range of issues, such as environment, raw materials, health and safety, international trade, information technology, retail, ecommerce, postal services and consumer protection. Our offices are located in Brussels, the home of the European institutions, and just a stone’s throw away from the European Parliament and other EU buildings.
We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time motivated Public Affairs Intern to join our dynamic EU public affairs and business consultancy practice, with the successful candidate working under the supervision of our EU Public Affairs Team. The internship, starting now, will run for a 6-month period and will provide the intern with a unique insight into the ‘Brussels bubble’ and public affairs consultancy work. The internship is remunerated.

Profile
Required:
-
Graduate Degree: European Studies, Public Affairs, Law, International Business, Political Science or equivalent

Proven understanding of EU institutions
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Fluency in English required, with other languages considered an asset*

Excellent writing skills
-
Organised, with an attention to detail

Eligible to work in the EU
*Please note that due to the writing-intensive nature of this position, proficient writing skills in English is of utmost importance.

Desired:

Experience with drafting newsletters or external written communications

Knowledge of or experience with using Social Media to disseminate information

Experience with organising high-level meetings or events

Ability to work as part of an International team, as well as individually on set tasks

Interest in developing client relationship and management skills
